My continuum is based on transforming old growth hardwoods (naturally felled and sustainably sourced) into substantial, contemplative and tactile sculptural vessels and installations. Through working with arborists i select only the most ideal material with ample character and distinct inclusions. The pieces are then hand shaped and finished via traditional and contemporary methods, all with the intent of showcasing the generational aspects and natural strengths behind each work – Underlining the importance of the many natural strengths that have been here long before us.
