Bio

Born in Montreal, I grew up in the town of Les Cèdres, before settling in Les Coteaux, where my pottery studio is located. I started out in the arts with music and dance, having briefly attended the Pierre-Laporte school in classical ballet. I then discovered a talent for painting and spent several years painting in oils, acrylics and airbrush. I took part in several art exhibitions as a member of the artist group Les amis du pinceau (which later became MEAL). First as a realist and then as an abstract painter. Then I fell into photography with just as much passion and enthusiasm. Finally, pottery won my heart and I've been making pottery for at least 10 years now. Over the years, I've perfected my style, but I'm still learning. That's why I love this art form and never tire of it.

Approach

The inspiration for all my pieces comes from the desire to offer utilitarian products that are works of art in themselves. The floating blue glaze is the result of trial and error. I finally discovered that by superimposing two glazes of very different colors, I could create a spectacular blue that was, in my eyes, unique.
